An-ex chief superintendent who was in charge of domestic violence at Hampshire police has been barred for his conduct at a domestic abuse incident.
Former Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary officer David Powell’s behaviour was found to be “aggressive” and “bullyish” whilst fellow officers investigated an assault.
Following an almost two-year disciplinary process, a police misconduct panel judged that had he not retired from the force in March this year, he would have been dismissed without notice.
