A former Warwickshire Police officer sent inappropriate messages to a domestic abuse victim, it has been revealed. A gross misconduct hearing heard how the ex officer had formed an “inappropriate” emotional attachment to the victim while he was in post.
The results of the hearing have been made public but Warwickshire Police has not publicly named the officer. He was found to have committed gross misconduct while he was a serving policeman.
The hearing found that the officer had persistently messaged the victim asking to meet. This was despite her indicating she did not wish to do so.
