A PHOTO of a playful encounter between mother and daughter is among Louise Harper’s most precious possessions. The image shows a beaming Hollie Thomson laughing as her mother plants a kiss on her cheek during a birthday celebration. It was one of many taken in Belfast last February as the close-knit family gathered to celebrate Hollie’s 28th birthday.
Unknown to Louise, however, the snap, which captures the immense love and bond between the pair, would be the last of them pictured together. Less than seven months later, Louise would kiss her daughter again for the last time – at a funeral home. Hollie had been a victim of femicide.
