THE case of a 45-year-old man who carried out a campaign of domestic abuse against his disabled ex-partner has been described by a judge as “one of the most egregious cases of mistreatment encountered.”
Brian Johnston from Lisnarick Road, Irvinestown, admitted assault, threatening to destroy property and engaging in abusive behaviour to cause physical or psychological harm.
Dungannon Magistrates Court heard a report was received of ongoing domestic abuse by the victim’s long-term partner, with issues emerging around 2019.
