A pregnant woman was injured after a man threw an axe at her stomach in Maidstone. Lawrence Neeley has been jailed after he subjected his victim to a series of violent assaults.
A court heard the woman was forced to endure a period of sustained abuse and threats, between August and September 2022. During this time, Neeley caused bruising to the victim after he threw an axe at her stomach before swinging the weapon at her arm.
He also cut the victim’s chin with a knife and headbutted her. He was arrested on September 5 after he and victim visited a bank in Maidstone, where she secretly mouthed ‘help’ to staff.
